ARBG 2017: Women’s beach soccer tournament gets in full swing

Sunday in Kazan was a big beach soccer day. The tournament of the third All-Russian Beach Games determined three participants of the playoffs. Team Alfa 09 of Kaliningrad, Team NEVA of Saint-Petersburg and Team Drive 32 of Bryansk have qualified from their groups. The winner of Saint-Petersburg’s Zvezda vs Nizhny Novgorod Oblast will secure the last berth on Monday.

MIRAS vs Drive 32: 2-7

Ivetta Akulova from Drive 32 scored four goals and helped her team to win a second time in Kazan.

“Kazan meets us with a warm welcome. Today we won with the score 6-2, my friend hitting two scores,” told Daria Stepanova from Team Drive 32.

Vakhitovsky District Children and Youth Sports School vs Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Team: 2-5

The Vakhitovsky District Children and Youth Sports School team took a lead after an accurate strike by Albina Ismagilova in the 18th minute: 2-1. However, the players from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast scored four goals and clawed their victory. Anastasia Efremova netted a brace.

"We were losing first, but managed to pull ourselves together. The coach gave us right instructions, made us angry. The organisation is just the best. We really like it," said Elizaveta Nemets from the team Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

NEVA vs Altai: 8-1

By the 13th minute Anna Korovushkina stroke three goals, and Glafira Bazhanova scored other two goals. NEVA achieved a great victory.

Zvezda vs Alfa 09: 3-4

Alfa 09 from Kaliningrad took an upper hand over the team from Saint-Petersburg in the most tough game of the day. Aleksandra Samorodova scored a decisive goal.
