On 8-10 December, the FINA Development Centre in Kazan was presented at the 5th FINA World Aquatics Convention in Hangzhou (China).
The mission of the convention is to provide a platform where water sports representatives and business leaders from around the world come together to share best practices in the development of water sports and improve results in all FINA disciplines.
Azat Kadyrov, Director General of ANO Directorate for Sports and Social Projects, delivered a report on the operation of the FINA Development Centre at the conference.
The content of the report corresponded to the theme of the conference: “Catching up with innovations: water sports in the global world”. Azat Kadyrov said that the work of the Centre is aimed at creating favorable conditions for effective training and preparation for the World Championships and Olympic Games under the auspices of the FINA athletes from different countries. Training courses for athletes and qualification upgrading courses for coaches based on the FINA programme, FINA certification programme for coaches, and international FINA seminars will be arranged at the FINA Development Centre in Kazan.
In addition to the conference, an international exhibition was organized during the Convention. The FINA Development Centre was also presented there.
