FINA Artistic Swimming World Series: one more victory of Russian synchro swimmers

Today, the Kazan leg of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series is wrapping up. The acrobatic groups were first to perform at the Aquatics Palace. The Russian synchro swimmers became the winners. It is worth noting that the “highlights” discipline has been included in the programme of the FINA World Aquatics Championships since this year. A two-minute programme should include at least four mandatory types of acrobatic elements.

Saint Petersburg Team, represented by Natalia Dergacheva, Anna Efremenko, Alisa Golubeva, Ekaterina Golubeva, Polina Ivanova, Evilina Pavlenko, Anna Pavlovskaya, Iana Presniakova, Karina Shaydullina, Lyubov Smirnova, Elizaveta Pavlova, and Margarita Perebeynos, scored 85,4667 points.

The national team of Kazakhstan became the silver medallist of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series (80,7000 points), the Hungarian national team won bronze (79,7333 points).

Moscow Team ranked second (85,3667 points), Tatarstan Team won bronze at the Russian Artistic Swimming Championship (81,1000 points).

“It was wonderful to compete at our hometown. Our relatives and friends came to support us. We performed with great dignity, demonstrated our one-year training result. This start was very important for us”, synchro swimmers from Tatarstan confessed.
