Russian divers Alexander Bondar and Viktor Minibaev won silver medals in the 10m synchro in the leg of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series in Kazan. Having performed six dives, Russian athletes scored 403.02 points.
“I am not really satisfied with my performance, it was below the average. I have made mistakes in all dives, there is still something to work on,” said Viktor Minibaev. “Recently, we have been working and training, we are under stress, so there is no use expecting perfect dives. So far, now is the middle of the season, there is time to prepare for the World Aquatics Championships. Both we and our rivals were mistaken, many athletes were under pressure as well”, he added. The athlete said that he was involved in all the legs of the World Diving Series. He will perform in the final leg in London next week. “Tonight we will analyse our performance with our coaches, it will become clear what kind of correction work is to be done”, admitted Viktor Minibaev.
Yang Hao and Lian Junjie from China won gold (444.18 points).
According to the results, Lee Matthew and Daley Thomas from Great Britain are among the top three runners-up (395.82 points).
