Yang Hao from China won in the 10m platform event in the leg of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series in Kazan (537.05 points). “Gold is a good motivation to work harder. I am not happy about the entries this final, so I will have some time to work on it before the major competitions of the season. I was focusing on my performance and had no time to look at my rivals and follow intermediate results”, commented on his win Yang Hao.
Aleksandr Bondar from Russia took silver (522.60 points). “I am satisfied with getting a medal, but I could have fought for “gold”. Unfortunately, I failed. Anyway, there is a good room to improve on myself. I would mark my performance “4 points”. My last two dives were not perfect. Probably, I was physically and emotionally exhausted; it’s difficult to say for now. I have been diving in Kazan taking much physical loads. It was a good challenge”, Aleksandr noted. Bondar will take part in the next leg of the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series in London, and then he will represent Russia at the Russian Diving Championships.
The best dive of the day came from Thomas Daley of the Great Britain (520.40 points). “I am satisfied with getting a medal, but I only got one good dive, all the rest – nothing was special, nothing great, - emphasized Thomas Daley. – We had been trading bronze with Lian of China, so I knew this is a good chance for me to finish on the podium”.
