Vice champion of Europe Iuliia Timoshina and Ekaterina Belyaeva won in 10m platform syncro dives at the Russian Diving Championships 2019.

Belyaeva and Timoshinina from Moscow scored 306,05 points at the Russian Diving Championships. Representatives of Saint Petersburg Anna Konanykhina and Mariya Bruenok took silver (279,84 points). Alina Arefyeva and Polina Saekova from Penza ranked third (268,68 points).

Team Event finished the first-day competition programme. Timoshinina and Shleikher demonstrated the best result (374,20 points). Belyaeva and Molchanov ranked second (324,70 points). Igor Vnukov and Viktoria Shirinova took bronze (319,35 points).

“In general, I am quite satisfied with my performance. One dive was not perfect. But it’s OK. There is no time to celebrate my victory, so many dives are ahead”, admitted Timoshinina.

According to Belyaeva, her performance will help her get ready for other dives. “I am satisfied with my performance and result of my partner – Molchanova. I have tried doing some elements before tomorrow’s start, so I will not get stressed anymore”, she said.

On 29 May 2019, the athletes will compete for medals in 3m springboard (women) and 10m platform synchro (men).
