The Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Grand Prix Series continues in Kazan. The second round brought together Ireland vs Sweden (48-0), England vs Poland (26-5), France vs Belgium (24-0), Spain vs Portugal (10-22) and Russia vs Italy (55-0), Wales vs Netherlands (24-10).
The official opening ceremony of the Kazan leg of the Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Grand Prix Series took place at the Central Stadium of Kazan. The ceremony was attended by the honorary guests, among them Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service Igor Artemyev; President of the Tatarstan Rugby Federation, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin; and FISU President Oleg Matytsin, who's currently staying in Kazan within the FISU Volunteers Leaders Academy.
Today, on July 8, the Kazan City Hall hosted the closing ceremony of the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy, the first-ever forum for international sport volunteers. FISU President Oleg Matytsin awarded the most active delegates with valuable prizes and gifts. Also present at the ceremony were General Advisor to the FISU President Igor Sivov, Director General of the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects Azat Kadyrov and his Deputy Alexander Karpov.
The second leg of the Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Grand Prix Series will start on July 8 at the Central Stadium in the capital of Tatarstan. The opening press conference took place today, on July 7. The main goals and objectives were discussed during the meeting.
The third all-Russian Beach Games in Kazan welcomed the seventh round of the Russian beach soccer championship.
