Aziz Mamedov, student ofKazan State Power Engineering University, was named Volunteer of the Year 2019. The young man has contributed a total of 1,768 volunteer hours, 657 in 2019. During the ceremony, he received his prize from Leila Fazleeva, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Inessa Klyukina, winner of the Russian Volunteer Competition 2019.
The awarding ceremony took place on the sidelines of the International Volunteer Forum timed to coincide with International Volunteer Day. Inessa Klyukina from Kazan became the Grand Prize winner. She took the first place in the Equal Opportunities nomination.
Today, on November 29, a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 45th WorldSkills Competition was held in Moscow chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova. The participants of the meeting summed up the results of the past event and discussed the legacy of the WorldSkills Competition.
The sixth leg of the FINA Swimming World Cup in Kazan has come to an end. The last gold medal winners
were Australian swimmer Cate Campbell, Lithuanian swimmer Danas Rapsys,
Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu, and the Russian team became the best
in the relay.
“The sixth leg of the FINA Swimming World Cup was organized at the
highest level.” President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation
Vladimir Salnikov voiced such an assessment to journalists, while
summing up the tournament results. “Kazan is deservedly considered to be
the aquatic sports capital of Russia,” he added.
