The first day of the Open Republic of Tatarstan Regional Skills (WorldSkills Russia) Competition wrapped up in Kazan on April 7.

Today the Open Republic of Tatarstan Regional Skills (WorldSkills Russia) Competition has started in Kazan. The opening ceremony which took place near the main pavilion of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre was attended by Engel Fattakhov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Ivan Kuznetsov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan.

An extensive event programme is scheduled to be held on the margins of the Open Republic of Tatarstan Regional Skills (WorldSkills Russia) Competition 2016 in Kazan. The programme will open with a plenary meeting, titled ‘New Human Resources: Trends, Challenges, Solutions’ on April 7.

Yet another diving tournament featuring the world’s best athletes is scheduled to be held at the Aquatics Palace, Kazan on April 22-24. The 4th leg of the FINA/NVC World Series will bring together 72 athletes from 12 countries, including winners of the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan. Tickets to the event can already be purchased through the ticket agency’s website – zamnoi.ru.

A presentation of GTO ambassador certificates took place at Russia’s Ministry of Sport in Moscow on March 22. Deputy Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, Natalia Parshikova, handed certificates and GTO scarves to 17 regional representatives of Russia.
