50 volunteers from the Republic of Tatarstan joined the 29th Winter Universiade Volunteer Team. The event will take place in Krasnoyarsk. On 2-12 March 2019, the entire student sports world will feel the real winter (the motto of the games is “Real winter”), and 5,000 volunteers from all over the world will give the warmth of Siberia to guests.
On 10 December, the “Volunteer of the Year” Award Ceremony took place in Kazan at the “Moskovsky” Centre for Culture and Sports. This ceremony was the final event dedicated to the Year of the Volunteer in the Republic of Tatarstan. Aydar Gabdrakhmanov was announced the “Volunteer of the Year”. Alexander Bugayev, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Leyla Fazleeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Damir Fattakhov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Elmira Zaripova, Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, Kseniya Razuvaeva, Director of the Russian Centre for Civil Patriotic Education of Children and Youth, and other officials were among the honorary guests of the event.
The International Educational Forum “FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy” received the “Project of the Year” award at the “Stars of University Student Sports” annual ball. On 8 December, the event took place at the “Russia” State Central Concert Hall in Moscow.
The Volga Federal District Medical Volunteer Community Forum kicked off at the Kazan Federal University. 200 volunteers from all regions of the Volga Federal District attended it. The Head of the Volunteer Department of ANO Directorate for Sports and Social Projects, Ayrat Mubarakshin, became an educational programme speaker.
On August 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 5th Student Educational Forum and talked to its participants.

Last day of FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy came to its end in Kazan. A farewell party traditionally took place in Kazan City Hall. FISU President Oleg Matytsin handed FISU Ambassador certificates and memorable pins to the graduates. 21 June 2018 was probably a life changing day for 111 young leaders who have received a one-year title of FISU Ambassadors in their countries.
