The third All-Russian Beach Games were staged at Kazan's sports venues on 7-16 July 2017. Over 1,200 competitors came together to compete for titles across an array of beach sports.
The first All-Russian Beach Games were held in Sochi in 2015, and a year later, they took place in Moscow. The All-Russian Beach Games are held under the umbrella of the All-Russian Beach Sports Association with support of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation.
The third All-Russian Beach Games sports programme in Kazan included 13 sports: 3x3 basketball, bodybuilding, workout, mass-wrestling, beach badminton, beach rugby, beach volleyball, beach handball, beach soccer, modern pentathlon (triathle), Thai boxing, cheerleading and flying disc (unofficial tournament).
The games took place at 11 playing fields of two sports venues in Kazan: Kremlin Embankment and Beach Sports Centre (located on the right to the Aquatics Palace).
